Veena Ranjita Pustaka Haste,
Bhagavati Bharati Devi Namostute.

This Vandana glorifies Goddess Saraswati as the divine mother who holds a veena (symbolizing music and arts) and a book (symbolizing wisdom), bestowing her devotees with knowledge and eloquence. Then, proceed to recite the Prayer and Vandana Mantras.

Saraswati Prayer Mantra:

For a deeper invocation, recite the Saraswati Prayer Mantra, which acknowledges her supreme role in intellectual and creative pursuits:

Om Yatha Na Devo Bhagavan Brahma Lokapitamaha,
Tvam Parityajya Samtishthet Tatha Bhava Varaprada.
Om Veda Shastrani Sarvani Nritya Geetadikam Cha Yat,
Na Bihinah Tvaya Devi Tatha Me Santu Siddhayah.
Om Lakshmir Medha Dhara Tushti Gauri Pushtih Prabha Dhriti,
Etabhih Pahi Tanubhiraashtabhirmam Saraswati.

This powerful prayer acknowledges that all knowledge—whether scriptures, music, or arts—is incomplete without the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
